Residential permits allow drivers to park in paid parking areas that are located within the same area they live in without paying the hourly or daily rates.
Residential permits can be obtained from any Mawaqif customer service centre.

Resident permits are divided into two types:

Every expatriate resident living in an apartment can get two parking permits in their areas, at a cost of AED 800 for the first permit and AED 1,200 for the second permit.

2.Villa Resident Permits Designated Parking Areas
Mawaqif provides specific parking areas for Villa Resident Permit holders, in order to help them find car parking easily in their areas.
Areas designated for villa residents can be easily identified through Mawaqif signs marked with "Villa Resident Permit Only", non-villa resident permit holders are not allowed to park their cars in these areas at all times.
