IT Project Manager & Product Owner – Digital for Siemens Energy Oil & Gas

We are seeking a IT Project Manager for our O&G Solution Business who will have the strategic vision and the leadership to drive growth for this Solution Business, in which to build trustful customer relationships.

The Project environment is very dynamic, handling multiple opportunities across many territories. A consultative project approach is required and is a key part of the role, working with various partners including global centers of competence and industry Giants. The Project Manager will join an agile, creative and highly engaged leadership team with high degree of ambitious autonomy.

What are your responsibilities?

·         Managing digital Oil & Gas solutions projects

·         Working closely with the Customer, Presales and Sales Team to define the project scope and objectives, contribute to bid and project calculation and ensure risk management is realized in preparation of any contracts.

·         Understanding & analyzing the requirements of the project

·         Providing accurate effort estimation and analysis of tasks required for development

·         Assembling a project team and actively participating in daily standup meetings and become member of a scrum team as the product owner and Project Manager/

·         Integrating and developing suitable subcontractors/ partners and negotiate requirements and solution strategy

·         Executing the project within the defined requirements (e.g. cost, time, functionality, customer satisfaction)

·         Bears full responsibility for assigned projects performance: project scope and changes, project risks spot and mitigation, project plan, project execution control, time management, project status reporting, project handover after completion.

·         Monitoring milestone and adherence to budgets, and initiates actions to minimize non-conformance cost

·         P&L responsibility in assigned projects: perform or overachieve sales targets in Revenue, GM, Costs

·         Keeping up to date his/her technical expertise in oil & gas digital solutions, as will as Project Management best practices to successfully run complex projects.

·         Ensuring business success, professional stakeholder management and establish a good relationship with the customer

What do you need to qualify for this role?

·         You are a graduate/post graduate IT engineer with good experience (+5 yrs.) in Project Management of digital projects. PMP® certification would be added advantage.

·         You should ideally come from a Software, Networking or Solutions Architect background.

·         Experience in the oil& gas industry

·         Proven track record managing subcontractors and customer relationship in the field

·         You are very skilled in understanding customer requirements, developing of concepts and solutions, and its implementation in software

·         Excellent knowledge of agile development methods

·         You are familiar with project management tools and concepts (eg.MS projects, fundamental of critical path, etc.).

·         Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.

·         You are a strong self-motivated person with natural focus on customer needs without forgoing project KPIs.

·         You have excellent communication skills for efficient stakeholder management

·         You demonstrate your flexibility and creativity for different solutions to achieve the highest benefit for the customer

·         You are a team player and you like to work in multi-disciplinary teams

·         Excellent writing and communication skills in English, knowledge of Arabic is beneficial
