Job Summary
Responsible for the preparation and successful completion of all design activities, design calculations, reports and drawings related to Potable water& Firefighting, Irrigation, Sewerage and Storm Water utilities.
Produces technical calculations to high standards of quality using current software (LAND FX, Water-GEMS, Sewer-GEMs and Info-Work , InfoSWMM). Complete understanding of Civil 3D.
Ensures compliance of design with all applicable standards and local regulations
Carries out the company QA/QC procedure for all deliverables.
Provides technical consultations for approvals of all networks by the relevant Authorities.
Conducts surveys, studies, site investigations.
Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
May assist Section Supervisors with other administrative and technical duties.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental engineering or related engineering degree
5-7 years of relevant experience in water utilities design and condition assessment
Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills
Excellent knowledge of water modeling (LAND FX, Water-GEMS, Sewer-GEMs and Info-Work) software.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in related experience
Knowledge of Civil 3D and InfoSWMM software
