To enhance the preventive measures for the early detection of COVID -19 the Abu Dhabi Crisis, Emergency and Disasters Committee has updated the requirements to enter the emirate.
To enter Abu Dhabi, People must have a negative PCR or DPI test result. Entry must be within 48 hours of receiving a negative PCR or DPI test result. Residents and visitors who enter Abu Dhabi from 8 November and stay for 4 more days must take a PCR test on the 4th day of entry. If they stay for 8 or more consecutive days, they must take another PCR test on the 8th day in addition to the test on day 4. The day of arrival into Abu Dhabi is counted as day 1.
These rules apply to anyone entering Abu Dhabi, including residents who may have exited the emirate and are returning. However, volunteers in the COVID-19 vaccine trials are exempt from these measures, and they can use the emergency vehicle lanes for a smooth journey.
If doesn’t take the test on day four and day eight, will get fined. Regarding the cost of the test depends on the type of test. The cost of rapid DPI blood test is Dh50, while the PCR swab test is around Dh180. The requirement for booking an appointment depend on the testing centre you visit.
