“Social Care Professionals” licensing services launched

The Department of Community Development launches its Social Care Professionals licensing services in Abu Dhabi enabling social care service providers to be licensed for free to work in the emirate in line with the highest international standards to enhance the quality of social care services. As part of its efforts Department of Community Development will also propose regulations for identifying those in need of social support, along with setting policies and standards for social care homes and related institution. The Service aims to raise the quality of social services provided, Ensure the social care services follow the highest standards and practices in the industry, both globally and locally, Strengthen regulations and legislation within the social sector. The licensing service will encompass five social care occupations such as Psychologist(Non-Clinical), Applied Behavioural Analyst (ABA), Psychotherapist, Social worker and Counsellor.
