RINA EMEA B.V. – Abu Dhabi, is currently seeking an Accountant. The candidate will be a part of the Shared Services Centre team assigned to support the company operations in the GCC region.
The role of accountant will support the finance team in the Shared Services Centre through activities of reporting, budgeting, vendor qualification, vendor negotiation and business partnering. The responsibilities of the accountant will include but are not limited to the following:
Prepare deposit slips and deposit customer checks in the bank.
Apply customer payments in the accounting system and follow-up remittance when necessary.
Assist in processing employee expense reimbursement.
Assist in gathering information needed for certain HR/payroll tasks.
Receive accounts payable invoices and obtain proper approval from managers
Submit non-productive purchase requests
Responsible for bookkeeping, financial reporting by cost center, and closure of financial statements on quarterly basis
Co-ordination of information flows for the efficient administration
Financial reporting (monthly cash flows, bank reconciliations)
Deal with clients queries on a daily basis
Deal with suppliers and realize efficiency and cost savings in purchases
Ensure the compliance to local tax rules and regulations if applicable.
Contact person for fiscal advisors and legal consultants as well as bank and financial institutions.
Interact with colleagues of the parent company in Italy and sister companies worldwide, about accounting and fiscal matters.
Liaise with auditors for yearly audit of financial statements.
Treasury planning of the local company.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in economics or accounting
2 years of experience in accounting of medium-size firms (practice in all the sides of accounting: A/R, A/P, general entries, closing of financial statements, overview of tax and social security declarations)
Experience with ERP systems.
Experience in a multinational or shared service center company is a plus.
Experience in accounting outsourcing or auditing firm is a plus
Good knowledge of MS Office and accounting software
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage and negotiate as a problem solver
Attitude to work in an international environment
Pro-active and looking for improvements
Aptitude to screen priorities and objectives
